This etching reproduces the artist’s drawing of the shoreline in his hometown: Saltburn-by-the Sea, North Yorkshire, at 11:32am on Jan 5, 2010. Forster always makes his drawings from photographs rather than from life: using his own snapshots, or images found in magazines, books or online. This edition was made on the occasion of his exhibition at the De La Warr Pavilion in 2016, which questioned the way in which architectural surroundings impacts on developing culture and memory.
Each Limited Edition is signed and numbered by the artist.
