On the 12th December the De La Warr pavilion will turn 90years old!
We’ve had designed a limited amount of larger De La Warr Pavilion mugs to mark the occassion in rust and pale blue and our 90th birthday logo badges.
Designed by Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff with innovative engineer Felix Samuely, the pavilion opened in 1935 and is recognised as one of the uk’s most important modernist buildings.
Our 90th birthday logo was created by Tom Geismar, celebrated for his pioneering work in the field of graphic design with a special connection to the pavilion’s history: he was creative partner of Ivan Chermayeff, the son of Serge Chermayeff.
