This image was pieced together from photo research into Brighton's West Pier during Chris's time at the RCA. Even back in 1988 there was a certain melancholy about the disrepair of this once magnificent landmark. Chris wanted to revisit those photos and reimagine the pier during a time of full glory. 

Chris's work explores the craft and beauty in everyday objects, uncelebrated people and places. He works with bold graphics and vibrant colours and is inspired by film, TV and music from the 1960's.
